🔥 DAMM V2: The New Artifact for LP? Yesterday @szu_jason told me that @MeteoraAG recently got a new thing called DAMM V2, and it is said that LPs are printing money very ferociously. Push a search, basically all foreigners in the English area are sharing, look at the screenshot case, it is really fierce. For example, if you invest 0.1 SOL, you can print several times the principal fee. Is there such an artefact in the world? That's not a big deal. When I got home in the evening, I started the test immediately. Find a pool MMD (the name is really not good, and it doesn't work in the end, mmd). I was going to put in 10 SOL, but it turned out to be low after buying, and I ended up investing 9.3 SOL. Not long after I bought it, it went up. Not long after I was happy, a K-line plummeted by 50%, and I was stunned for a while. This was followed by three consecutive columns, plummeting by 99%. The principal amount invested is almost zero. In the last calculation, although the handling fee did earn back a few hundred U, the overall calculation was $1000. This can buy hacker RUG coins, and the real gods can't save them. Okay, after sharing my experience with RUG last night, let's talk about my personal feelings about this new thing. 1️⃣What is DAMM V2? The core features of a new AMM type developed by Meteora are: An AMM within some sort of centralised liquidity. I know it sounds like a mouthful, but it's true. When you add LPs, the default is a 50/50 ratio, and within the price range, you do use the formula of traditional AMMs: X*Y=K 2️⃣ What are the core benefits? 1. The initial handling fee is extremely high, and can be set up to 50% 2. Then the fee rate decreases exponentially or linearly, depending on your setting 3. You can set the fee collection method to a single currency (SOL, USDC) or two tokens (SOL, USDC must be preferred) 4. Some other functional optimisations, but they are not very important to us who are engaged in LP, so I won't go into details 3️⃣ Is LP printing money ferocious? According to my measurements, compared to the DLMM pool at the same time, LP printing speed is not faster. Due to the high fee rate and low TVL (95% of the TVL of MMD's DAMM V2 pool yesterday was contributed by me), there is not much trading volume most of the time, and the fees received naturally are also low. Except for the time when I crashed, I didn't run, and when I was arbitraged by the robot, the fee rose instantly. 4️⃣ What is the trade-off? (DLMM 🆚 DAMM V2) Judging from the results of tonight's discussion with Brother Jie, it is inclined to be suitable for this thing in the early stage, very early. Prepare a large amount of money to engage in LP, in fact, DLMM is more stable. Since it is very early, the risk must be high, and the natural investment cannot be too large. Getting a few thousand knives at a time, like I did last night, doesn't seem to fit the gameplay of DAMM V2 very well. Not to mention tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands of dollars at a time to LP. 5️⃣ Conclusion The DAMM V2 is something new that definitely suits it well. In addition to the initial liquidity used by the project party, ordinary users need to carefully identify and consider it carefully if they are LPs, and do not act arbitrarily. As for whether there is a more advanced way to print money through DAMM? I think there must be one at the moment, as for how to print it, I really have to dig it up carefully. Above.
