About NasdaqHitsRecordHigh
The Nasdaq Composite rose about 0.45% on Sep 22, posting a record closing high for a second straight session. AI and semiconductor stocks remained supportive, with Micron up about 5% and Sandisk nearly 7%. The Dow fell about 0.36% as banks and some software and internet consumer stocks weakened. Despite renewed Fed rate hikes and elevated 10-year Treasury yields, tech stocks continue to drive records. Whether the rally broadens to more sectors remains a key focus.

#NasdaqHitsRecordHigh The Nasdaq keeps making records, but the rally is getting more interesting 👀
Micron jumped ~5% and Sandisk nearly 7%, helping tech push higher while the Dow fell.
What caught my attention is this is happening despite elevated Treasury yields and renewed Fed hike risk.
AI is still powerful enough to overpower the macro headwind, but breadth is the real test.
A record index is one thing. A record market needs more sectors to join in.
A magical scene: The Fed raised interest rates last week, and institutions were still saying "maybe four to six more hikes are needed" to suppress inflation, yet the Nasdaq hit a new all-time high tonight, and $BTC kept pushing upward.
According to the old script, risk assets should shrink during a rate hike cycle. But with oil prices crashing and inflation expectations easing, the 10-year US Treasury yield fell back from above 5%, and the market immediately switched to risk-on mode, with risk
BREAKING: Nasdaq hits a new ALL TIME HIGH, crossing 27,200 for the first time in history.

#NasdaqHitsRecordHigh The Nasdaq reached a record as chip stocks and other AI-related companies led a broad technology rally. Investors were encouraged by easing oil prices, slightly softer bond-market pressure and continued confidence in corporate AI spending.
A record index does not mean risks have disappeared. Valuations remain sensitive to interest rates, and the AI trade is increasingly concentrated in a small group of companies. My view is that the Nasdaq can continue rising if earnings growth catches up with expectations, but the market needs broader participation and stronger free-cash-flow evidence. If yields rise again, high-duration technology stocks may quickly come under pressure.
A record close is a milestone; broader participation would be a stronger signal.
The Nasdaq's second straight record close, alongside a weaker Dow, puts the breadth question in focus. AI and chip strength can keep lifting the index, but with elevated Treasury yields, my read is that gains beyond tech would make this rally more convincing than another record alone.
