BTC basically hovered between 76,000 and 78,000 this week, unable to break up or down, with intraday volatility not even reaching 1%. Some say the whales are unloading, but after checking the data, it looks more like the Bitcoin whales went out for a vacation and don’t want to manage the market. The options market is holding down $40.8 billion in open contracts, with long and short positions densely stacked in the 78,000 to 81,000 range, effectively locking the price in place.
