Bitcoin Started the Institutional Trade. Now the Market Is Getting Wider. For months, the institutional crypto story was mostly about one asset: $BTC. That is starting to change. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $730.8M of net inflows on September 3, followed by another $174.6M on September 4. That is strong institutional demand even with Bitcoin struggling to stay above $80K. But $ETH is becoming increasingly important. Ethereum ETFs also recorded positive flows as September opened, showing that institutional interest is not disappearing when Bitcoin consolidates. That creates a different market setup. The question is no longer: “Are institutions buying crypto?” The data already suggests they are. The better question is: “How far does that capital move beyond Bitcoin?” My radar starts with $ETH. If Ethereum continues holding strength while $BTC consolidates, it becomes the first confirmation that institutional liquidity is spreading. Then I watch $SOL and $XRP. Solana products had their strongest month of 2026 in August, while XRP has also remained one of the large-cap assets attracting significant market attention. After that comes the higher-beta layer. $BNB for ecosystem strength. $SUI and $APT for L1 liquidity. $AAVE, $UNI and $PENDLE for DeFi. $LINK and $ONDO for infrastructure and RWA exposure. $TAO and $RENDER if AI-related risk appetite returns. But there is an important reason I am not calling this altseason. Global investors are still defensive. Money-market funds attracted $46.1B in the week ending September 2, while U.S. equity funds recorded another $11.12B of outflows. So crypto is receiving capital, but the broader liquidity environment is not completely risk-on. That distinction matters. I want to see $BTC stabilize first. Then $ETH outperform. Then $SOL, $XRP and $BNB confirm. Only after that would I expect meaningful rotation into smaller sectors. The institutional trade may be getting wider. #BTCGoldCorr+0.50 #HammackBacksHike #ZECRanks10thByMarketCap
