Published on 4 Aug, 2025
a) Virtual Assets are highly volatile and can be high-risk, so investors must exercise extreme caution regarding the products;
b) Virtual Assets are not covered by Law No. 26,831, unless they fall within the definition of negotiable securities, in the terms of article 2 of Law No. 26,831, nor in the powers conferred to the CNV by Law No. 27,739, so the offering documents or product information provided by the issuer have not been subject to examination or approval by the Commission and, if applicable, by any regulatory body;
c) A Virtual Asset is not legal tender in the Republic of Argentina, therefore, it is not issued or backed by the government or national authorities;
d) Transactions with Virtual Assets can be irreversible, and consequently, losses due to fraudulent or accidental transactions may be non-recoverable;
e) The value of a Virtual Asset may derive from the ongoing willingness of market participants to exchange fiat currency for a Virtual Asset, meaning that the value of a particular Virtual Asset may be completely and permanently lost if the market for that Asset disappears. There is no guarantee that a person who accepts a Virtual Asset as payment will continue to do so in the future. Certain Virtual Assets may only be accepted in some VASPs and not in others;
f) The extreme volatility and unpredictability of the price of a Virtual Asset in relation to fiat currencies can result in a total loss of investment in a short period of time;
g) Legislative and regulatory changes may negatively affect the use, transfer, exchange, and/or value of Virtual Assets;
h) Virtual Asset transactions are considered as charged only when they are recorded and confirmed by the trading platform, which does not necessarily coincide with the moment the client initiates the transaction;
i) The nature of Virtual Assets exposes them to fraud or cyberattack risks;
j) The nature of Virtual Assets implies that any technological difficulty experienced by the VASP may indicate that clients cannot access their Virtual Assets;
k) The loss or theft of private keys may result in absolute loss of access to the Virtual Assets with no possibility of recovery; and
l) The networks on which Virtual Assets depend may face interruptions or congestion due to technical issues, cyberattacks, or other factors.
