⛯ The Lighthouse presents: NA XANELA On Thursday, 📅June 19, we light our first signal: NA XANELA -[ENG], in the window-, in the Galician village of Sarria. A new digital art project that refuses to stay on screens, The Lighthouse. Light is turned on. Not to guide you home, but to interrupt your way there. A beam across the stone. Uninvited. Here, stones hold the echo of infinite footsteps. Silent witnesses to an intimate, everyday history woven daily, without noise, without epic. It is life in its rawest form, with an invisible choreography governing everything. Routine as anesthesia. A functional somnambulism where we trace daily geometries over stories we no longer see, no longer question. Because when everything is taken for granted, the gaze dims. We live in that comfortable blindness, heads bowed, not in humility, but in exhaustion. A surrender, almost, to the overwhelming familiarity of existence. We no longer look because we believe we have seen it all. The very act of walking becomes, paradoxically, a precise metaphor for our lives: we follow pre-set paths, orbiting in circles that, while feigning movement and security, actually confine us, narrowing the horizon of what is possible. Yet it is precisely within monotony, in the heart of the most automatic routine, where the possibility of a jolt lies dormant, awaiting its moment. An encounter that can potentially disrupt everything. This is where NA XANELA enters. A flash. As part of the FORA SEDE program of the Sarria’s Triennial ARQUIPELAGO INTERIOR , this intervention seeks to be an interference, an image appearing where it shouldn't, just when you had stopped looking. From June 19th, forgotten windows spring to life. An interruption crossing your path without permission, an illuminated image aimed at you. An invitation to an immobile pilgrimage: the one that occurs inwards, when the external world unexpectedly challenges us. May these images projected onto the ancient skin of the Village function as unexpected beacons: not so much to mark a harbour, but to illuminate a crossroads. Less a promise, more a fragmented mirror where each person might glimpse something of their own quest.
