In concert with the B-52H and F/A-18Es currently performing a “show of force” off the coast of Venezuela, a pair of Northrop Grumman E-2D “Hawkeye” Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) Aircraft with the “Bear Aces” of Airborne Command & Control Squadron 124 (VAW-124), along with at least half a dozen additional F/A-18E/F Super Hornets from various squadrons assigned to Carrier Air Wing Eight (CVW-8), embarked aboard the USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78), are also up over the Southern Caribbean.
