Currently, the Aave ETH supply APR on zkSync is above 30% (✅financial advice). This occurred shortly after a large depositor withdrew almost all available liquidity. However, for the next 1 hour, there was almost no reaction from other market participants with comparable size, which allowed this big depositor to profit heavily on their remaining position.
This shows that under current interest rate model, a lending market with uneven distribution among a few large holders, or with low visibility can be easily manipulated. This also proves that lending protocols do have a scaling effect.
