About ZECBreaksIntoTop10
ZEC keeps grinding higher. Spot ZEC/USDT on OKX touched $1,225 in 24 hours on Sep 6, and CoinMarketCap now ranks ZEC 10th by market cap, ahead of DOGE. Grayscale's Zcash spot ETF (ZCSH) listed on NYSE Arca on Aug 25 as the first ETF offering spot ZEC exposure, with holdings up from about 388,000 ZEC at launch to 428,600 by Sep 3. Winklevoss-backed Cypherpunk Technologies runs the largest ZEC mining cluster, about 18% of network hashrate. Grayscale notes ZEC is still under 1% of Bitcoin's cap.

#ZECBreaksIntoTop10 ZEC moving ahead of DOGE into the top 10 is a headline I honestly didn’t expect this year 😅
What interests me most isn’t the ranking itself—it’s how quickly Zcash is moving from a niche privacy asset into more traditional market infrastructure. Grayscale’s ZCSH now offers spot exposure on NYSE Arca, and its holdings increased from around 388,000 ZEC at launch to 428,600 by September 3.
That gives more investors access without requiring them to manage ZEC directly. But it also creates an interesting contrast: institutional access is expanding while the network’s largest mining cluster reportedly controls about 18% of hashrate ⛏️
For a project built around privacy and decentralization, market growth and infrastructure concentration deserve to be discussed together.
ZEC may now be a top-10 asset, but its next test is whether the underlying network becomes broader and more resilient as attention grows.
ZEC just pushed past $1,200, while network hashrate hit a record 30 GSol/s this week. But is your mining revenue actually increasing, or does it only seem that way because of the price surge?
Reports indicate miner revenue has fallen roughly 3% since ZEC crossed $900, as fresh hashpower continues to enter the network. Time to check your own numbers for the week.

$ZEC is no longer flying under the radar.
ZEC touched ~$1,225, entered CMC’s top 10 by market cap, and its new spot ETF has already grown its holdings since launch.
Yet $ZEC is still under 1% of Bitcoin’s market cap.
Is ZEC just getting started, or is this rally becoming overheated?

$ZEC is starting to look dangerously overheated… 👀
$ZEC just pushed to $1,250, putting its market cap around $21.1B — up roughly 163% in 3 months and a staggering 2,300% over the past year.
Shorts are getting crushed, with tens of millions liquidated. Meanwhile, whales that started accumulating around $444 are still adding.

JUST IN: $ZEC hits its highest price since 2016 as Zcash's market cap tops $20 billion, up 45% over the past week.
ZEC entering the Top 10 is interesting, but honestly, the ranking itself isn’t what caught my attention.
It’s the fact that privacy is back in the conversation.
Crypto has become much more institutional over the years. ETFs, regulations, KYC and on-chain analytics have all pushed the industry toward greater transparency. But the more transparent everything becomes, the more I wonder whether users will start valuing privacy again.
Personally, I think financial privacy is still an underrated part of crypto. There’s a big difference between wanting privacy and wanting anonymity for the wrong reasons. Most people probably wouldn’t want their bank balance and every transaction publicly visible to everyone either.
That said, I wouldn’t call ZEC’s Top 10 move a permanent comeback yet. Price momentum can bring attention quickly, but staying there will depend on whether usage and demand continue after the excitement cools.

$ZEC remains one of the most explosive charts in crypto.
After its huge run, open interest reached roughly $2.4B — an extreme amount for one altcoin.
That creates two-sided opportunity:
Momentum continuation can trigger another squeeze.
But crowded leverage can unwind violently if support breaks.
Don’t chase. Watch price + OI + funding.
Altcoins are strongly attracting leverage
The most notable point currently is that the perpetual futures open interest (OI) of the altcoin group has surpassed Bitcoin for the first time since December 2024 (Notably, ZEC OI is about $2.4 billion.
Short ZEC positions were liquidated over $34 million during the rally. DOGE increased by about 6%, while on-chain data shows whales bought approximately 2.17 billion DOGE; the number of active addresses also rose by about 35%)

ZEC has officially overthrown Hyperliquid to rise to the 9th position on the market capitalization ranking.
The persistent uptrend over 4 years has made the price chart of this top coin look like a meme coin, wiping out more than $48 million in short positions in the past 24 hours and surpassing Bitcoin in liquidation scale#ZECBreaksIntoTop10 #SamsungHynix10DaySupply #OracleAdobeEarnings
🚨 Thinking about shorting ZEC at $1,200? This could be a very expensive mistake.
$ZEC has just smashed through the $1,200 level and entered full-on price discovery. After already gaining more than 5× this year, the market is in the middle of a brutal short squeeze—and betting against that momentum right now is extremely risky.
Remember what happened around $1,000: tens of millions of dollars in shorts were liquidated. Above $1,200, the squeeze can get even nastier.#ZECBreaksIntoTop10
