Combining established blockchain concepts with smart-contract functionality is an interesting engineering approach. $QTUM is designed to connect ideas from Bitcoin's transaction model with Ethereum-style smart contracts. However, a technically distinctive architecture does not automatically attract developers. The real challenge is building an ecosystem that gives users and businesses a compelling reason to choose Qtum over newer, more widely adopted platforms.
