A common misconception in Bitcoin is that node count equals network support. It doesn't. Seeing 16%–18% of publicly reachable nodes running software that supports BIP-110 does not mean 16%–18% of Bitcoin's economic consensus supports it. Bitcoin is not "one node, one vote." Why node count isn't the whole story Reachable nodes measure software endpoints—not economic influence. A single hobbyist running a node from home and a major exchange, ETF custodian, wallet provider, or payment platform serving millions of users each count as one node, despite having vastly different economic impact. Every node is sovereign in validating its own rules, but economic consensus depends on which rules are adopted by the broader ecosystem, including: 🏦 Exchanges 💼 Custodians 📈 ETF issuers 👛 Wallet providers ⛏️ Mining pools 💳 Payment services 💰 Investors and businesses Current Adoption Picture Based on publicly available information, support for BIP-110 appears to be concentrated primarily among: Bitcoin Knots users OCEAN mining participants DATUM mining infrastructure There has been no widely reported adoption by major exchanges, ETF providers, large custodians, or leading wallet platforms. Why Economic Consensus Matters Bitcoin's history has shown that protocol changes succeed when they gain broad acceptance across users, miners, businesses, and infrastructure providers—not simply because many individual nodes run compatible software. A proposal can have enthusiastic technical support while still representing only a small share of the network's overall economic activity. Bottom Line 📊 Node statistics measure software distribution—not economic influence. ⚖️ Bitcoin consensus is driven by economic adoption, not raw node counts. 🔍 Publicly available information suggests BIP-110 currently has limited adoption among major commercial ecosystem participants. #Bitcoin #BTC #BIP110 #Nodes #Mining #Crypto #Blockchain #DailyOrbit #30YYieldAt19YHigh #AMZNMissesButRallies
