$BTC ABOVE $80K DOESN’T MEAN THE BULL MARKET IS CONFIRMED YET Bitcoin touching the $80K area is definitely important, but I think the bigger question is what happens after the move. A strong price move can create bullish sentiment very quickly. Traders start talking about a new bull cycle, higher targets, and the next major resistance almost immediately. But the macro environment still matters. The latest U.S. labor data came in stronger than expected, adding another layer of uncertainty around the Fed’s next move. Rate-hike expectations have also increased, while Cleveland Fed President Hammack has argued that rates should move higher to keep inflation under control. That creates a difficult setup for risk assets. A stronger economy sounds positive on the surface, but if economic strength keeps inflation elevated, the Fed has less reason to become accommodative. And that is where $BTC faces an important test. Can Bitcoin continue holding higher levels while macro conditions remain restrictive? For now, I’m watching the $80K region closely. If BTC can reclaim the area, hold above it, and build support instead of immediately losing it, that would be a much stronger signal than simply touching $80K. But if the market rejects the level again, it would show that the macro pressure hasn’t been fully absorbed yet. The next major catalyst is the U.S. August CPI report on September 11. A softer-than-expected inflation reading could reduce pressure on rate expectations and potentially give Bitcoin more room to continue higher. A hotter CPI print would create the opposite problem and could make sustained movement above $80K much harder. So I’m not rushing to declare the bull market back. The bullish scenario is still alive. But Bitcoin needs to prove that it can turn $80K from resistance into support while surviving the macro headwinds. The next move may not be about how high BTC can spike. It may be about whether it can hold the ground it has already reclaimed. That’s the hurdle I’m watching.
