On Friday night something special happened and I still haven't fully wrapped my brain around it. • 385 people in attendance. • Artwork sold on opening night with non web3 native artists keeping their profits in the Solana ecosystem. • An exhibition curated by @stevesweatpants that brought some of the biggest Ethereum photographers onto @exchgART and Solana, connecting us even more under a single community of art and not the tribalism that hurts us. • 25 pieces on display, both digital and physical, another example proving these two worlds can and should exist together. • An experiential gallery space downstairs called "Auntie's House" that was an immersive installation, complete with Golden Eye on N64. • Multiple worlds coming together to celebrate and symbolize the intention of @cycol_gallery as we open our doors officially starting tomorrow. It was the hardest thing I've ever done. And I couldn't have done it without @lampwrecked_ @lowbrownative @jairo_ema25 @goku_nft @lobeldesign @douglasrmccurdy, The EA spaces and writing teams who held it down and kept doing their thing, @JeffHthepainter, my wife, my kids and our late night pizza parties at the gallery so we could get more done. The countless teams who delivered when I needed them to, who put up vinyl installations and helped hang artwork, even though they didn't have to, the printer team, the parents of the homeschooling crew I teach, words of encouragement from people when I was deep in doubt that this could even be accomplished. Thank you will never be enough. This was over a year of work, from getting doors slammed in my face, to finding one of the best locations for a gallery I could have ever dreamed of. When looking back, bravery, determination, resiliency, pride, and most importantly gratitude come to mind. Gratitude because this crazy idea doesn't become a reality without @solana and @bonk_inu, without people like @Pedromiranda @TheOnlyNom @jnwng @MetaMacD_ @iamkadense who all supported and pushed me to grow into these roles I'm in. Y'all have changed my life forever. The plans for Cycol Gallery are to level up with each exhibition, to bring some of the best artists in the world to Solana, to highlight Solana's talented creatives, and to be a cultural hub where art, tech, culture, and humanity live.
