Kalshi has a Mention Market for tonight’s episode of South Park, which the main topic is about Prediction Markets themselves - This is going to be very meta and very fun. Not financial advice, but here are my picks for tonight: - Kalshi NO <85c I'm considering this my emotional hedge! If they name drop Kalshi, I’ll be happy (and wont mind the small loss.) If not, I just paid for lunch tomorrow. I think SP goes more generic than explicitly name dropping Kalshi. Sorry chat! - Tylenol YES <25c Big meme, big news, and the conference announcing tylenol and pregnancy as a cause of autism was almost comical with how adamant Trump said “DO NOT TAKE TYLENOL - ESPECIALLY WHEN PREGNANT” I this will likely be brought up during the scenes between Satan and Trump. Those scenes are usually used to poke fun at very recent current events (like Trump getting gifts from Tim Cook, foreign leaders.) - The biggest benefit for this in my opinion is that in the preview pictures posted, satan has multiple books implying he is pregnant, I can’t think of a better opportunity to use that plot point as a way to bring up Tylenol. The only risk I see here is that it is too recent to be covered in the episode, but fingers crossed! - Jimmy/Kimmel YES <60c Seems like a topic SP would like to cover, being a tv show that heavily relies on free speech they might want to touch on Kimmel being taken off the air. I see this possibly hitting in Satan x Trump scenes as well, with Satan complaining he can't watch Kimmel that night. This also has a bonus of possibly hitting through any mention of the character Jimmy, who was shown in one of the preview pictures as well. - Trump 3+ NO <50c Really like this at this price, I feel like they will most likely refer to Trump as Mr President or Donald. The only bad situation for this is if Trump becomes the center of attention for the predictions the kids are making. I think it's more likely about prediction markets on sports and events in their school and life, with arguments of gambling vs predicting/trading, so I’m happy with my entry here, and regret not taking just ‘Trump’ NO at 20c when it was trading that cheaply. 🙏Please don't blindly tail, I don’t want to encourage anybody to trade based on my picks but wanted to give some insight into my thoughts. I am comfortable losing on these. Normally in a show as short as SP I think positions in NO’s are stronger but these YES positions seemed too fun to pass up. Keep in mind I like these picks at *my* entry prices and if the prices are higher than that the opposite side might be the better play!
