It's getting cooler in the city. I've had my window open this week. At times, unattended.
Last night there was a break in.
Whist I slept - back bare atop my sheets - I felt a wanderer.
To my shadowed eyes I saw a creature from wherest I did just sense, creeping on my shoulder.
In a catatonic panic I dost flicked it off, arose the bed, and scurried to the light - loudly alerting my wife to also wake for the creature's whereabouts I no longer knew.
She stood, light on - we stare 👀
"It's not here" she mumbles and leans back down for rest.
"There." I proclaim. 90ish % sure. But my eyes did focus, and upon the floor - the creature stilly stood.
