After successfully purchasing crypto (such as USDT), the assets will be credited to your Funding account. To trade on spot, futures, or other markets, you'll need to transfer the assets to your Trading account first. Internal transfers between OKX accounts are free of charge and are credited instantly.

Note: if you selected Trading account as the Deposit account when making a deposit, assets deposited on-chain will be automatically transferred to your Trading account. To deposit assets into your Funding account, go to the Deposit page, select the crypto and network, then change the Deposit account to Funding account.

Why am I unable to transfer funds?

If you're unable to transfer funds, it may be due to one of the following reasons:

1. Assets are frozen

There are no limits on internal transfers between funding and trading accounts, or between main and sub-accounts. If your assets are frozen, please unfreeze them before attempting to transfer.

2. Open positions in the trading account

When there are open positions in your trading account, the assets tied up in those positions can't be transferred out until the positions are closed. If your account earnings exceed the amount held by open positions, the principal can be transferred normally — but the earnings portion can only be transferred after the positions are closed.

3. Network deposit limit reached

Funds that exceed the network deposit limit will be restricted for use on the platform. The system will gradually lift the restriction on a daily quota basis.

4. Platform real-time settlement mechanism triggered

When a futures contract triggers the platform's real-time settlement mechanism, the fund transfer feature will be temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.

5. Outstanding debt in the spot margin account

If there is an unpaid debt in your spot margin account, fund transfers will be unavailable. Please repay the debt before attempting to transfer.

6. Assets are subscribed to Earn products

If your assets are subscribed to Earn products, please redeem them first before initiating a fund transfer.
