Considering one of the key bottlenecks holding back DeFi on Bitcoin is the absence of native yield, although not a final solution, this definitely helps advance the sector.
Apart from earning yield, stBTC holders can borrow against it and/or utilize it across DeFi (as you would with stETH or any LST), increasing overall composability and adoption.
