Cycle 4 of Uniswap’s Delegate Reward Initiative just dropped. More accountability. More alignment. More clarity on what good delegation looks like. Proposed by @Doo_StableLab @PGovTeam @AranaVentures @SEEDGov and now open for community feedback. what’s changing and why it matters 👇
/ This isn't just a rerun of past cycles. Following the Delegate Working Group and learnings from Cycles 1 to 3, Cycle 4 introduces new improvements to boost delegate performance, accountability, and alignment.
/ Learnings from Cycle 3: • While participation remained strong, broader voter turnout across Uniswap DAO declined from ~60M UNI to ~45M. • The Delegate Reward program remains one of several tools in a broader strategy to ensure governance security. • Cycle 3 also surfaced key implementation questions like how to define proposal authorship and how to count delegate wallets
/ What’s being proposed in Cycle 4? • Bonus points for delegates holding ≥ 1,000 UNI ("skin in the game") • Scoring boost for perfect participation (votes + rationales + calls) • Clearer rules on proposal authorship and wallet tracking
/ Core structure of the proposal: • Top 15 delegates selected via 13-point rubric • Must have 3 or more months of on-chain voting history • Up to $6,000 per month in UNI rewards (per delegate) • Program duration: 6 months • Total proposed budget: $540,000 USD in UNI
/ Why this matters: • Past cycles improved governance participation and voter alignment • This iteration strengthens incentive design and contribution standards • Proposes tighter feedback loops between voting performance and rewards • Addresses quorum fragility through clearer expectations and accountability mechanisms
/ The proposal is now open for feedback from the Uniswap community. If you're a delegate, tokenholder, or contributor, now is the time to weigh in. Link to full proposal:
