We received a generous grant of 1M $DEGEN from @jacek0x to support onchain-native artists during this 10 week celebration, and in return we’ve given our Neon Flywheel a proper Top Hat makeover. 🎩 To spin tomorrow and collect the very first NEONCHAIN Summer drop by @EmpressTrash, you’ll need at least 800 $DEGEN (instead of the usual 0.0008 ETH) in your Farcaster-connected wallet. But that’s not all! Rather than just plugging in a simple swap-and-spin integration, which would put unnecessary sell pressure on the $DEGEN token during our NEONCHAIN rounds, @netnose and I have instead designed and implemented a novel custom set of contracts, in which we collect your $DEGEN before the spin and pay the ETH mint cost for you, while reserving the collected $DEGEN to be used in a future BETRMINT prize pool. This way, the tokens will always be distributed evenly to our community rather than market sold. 🧠 It’s a little bit complicated, but it’s also a lot bit dope and I’m excited to see it in action!
