After 3+ years of helping build and grow the OP Stack, I’m stepping away from OP Labs. During my tenure, we scaled the OP Stack from 40K transactions / day to over 15 million transactions / day. A lot changed through that growth and as I reflect on the journey I keep coming back to the people, past and present, I got to work and build with. The conviction, curiosity, and intensity we shared was intoxicating. Funny enough, some of my strongest relationships during this time werent built inside OP Labs but around it. A subtle reminder that the best parts of this space often happen beyond single org charts. In a sea of zero-sum games, what I loved most at OP was finding and enabling win-wins (“build together, win together”) and watching teams turn what we shipped into real momentum, growing their business and unlocking their economic potential. What’s next? More soon. But one thing has never been more certain: value transfer/acc. I’m not done building and am energized to compete intensely to accelerate the transition to blockchains as the unified rails for the world’s most liquid and capital efficient markets.
