Our gem of the week is @b_Dwil, one of the many talented forces of the Tezos community creating and collaborating on visual and audio based digital and physical art. Performing live sets of experimental music at TezCon 2024 and 2025, handing out physical mini-paintings as business cards, competing in @WTF_gameshow sticker making challenges, and any excuse in between to make things, this is an active artist who continues to evolve with Tezos. So, let’s take a look at some of their work and join us to learn more on our Artz Friday space.

In this digital painting titled “Caballo Regalado”, we see a pink unicorn and uniquely placed etchings that resemble code and encrypted messaging. The masking and blending of colors gives the artwork a 3D feel as if the horse is wrapped up within the swirls of code. This was created as part of the on-going Horse trading initiative within Tezos community, through a specific @WTF_gameshow challenge. B still holds most editions. As with most social media based threads, the focus is on B’s visual art, but make no mistake, there is a TON of wild and experimental music to discover as well. Using unique machines and manipulating frequency, BDwil composes live sets of music. It feels like its more for improv and meditation, rarely composing or mixing the results beyond the initial outputs. Like a free flowing audio representation of emotion.
