Season 2 of the Synthetix Trading Competition starts in 3 days, but only 25 people have signed up so far.
This is underwhelming despite:
→ $1M in prizes, with the top 3 netting 200k, 100k and 50k USDC respectively.
→ The margin is provided, so there is no risk involved
To participate you have to pre-deposit 10k sUSD, which is withdrawable after the competition.
The pre-deposit is likely the reason that withholds people from signing up. sUSD is depegging: it dipped to 0.91 two days ago and is currently at 0.939.
So there is a bit of risk involved, but if you finish in 50th place you still earn $2,865 in SNX.
Obviously, it depends on your risk appetite and trading skills, but personally I think this is a no-brainer.
