Excited to announce that I'm formally acting as delegate for Uniswap Governance. As someone who's been involved with Uniswap from the very early days, I'm excited to take on this role and help support the Uniswap ecosystem going forward, some relevant context: Background I was employee #3 at Uniswap. I joined in summer of 2019 as an engineer focused mostly on our consumer products. I would spend the following 6 years working closely with @haydenzadams and the amazing engineering team on a huge list of products and services.

Governance During this time I worked on various governance related initiatives, and began to understand what it meant for a governance system to work on chain. A fun story is that during testing for the initial Uniswap airdrop, i found a critical bug in the smart contract that would have ruined the entire launch (who knows what would have happened in that case). I solo-engineered the first Governance specific UI (which we called Sybil) that was a general purpose tool to help make on-chain governance more transparent. This was a time before snapshot forums, and professional tooling existed.

A New Era For Uniswap Uniswap has truly grown to be a core piece of global on-chain financial infrastructure. Uniswap has put in the hard work over the past years not only in building the next generation of markets, but also to represent and fight for our industry and Washington, ensuring the future on blockchain technology is protected correctly. The latest Uniswap proposal unlocks the most aligned, and future-thinking version of Uniswap to date. With the correct mechanisms in place, Uniswap can remove bottlenecks, and finally focus effort in scaling the ecosystem the right way. In my mind this is one of the first serious attempts at building the future of the firm.
