With the latest update, XRPL users can now register, verify their identity, and conduct transactions through the idOS app, thanks to the XRP Ledger integration. Issuers, the institutions or applications that verify and validate identity data, encrypt user data, transforming it into a cryptographically verifiable identity document. They then hand over complete control to the user. This means your identity becomes verified data that you can carry, much like a web3 wallet. Data is always encrypted and accessible only with the user's permission. Thanks to the Access Grant system, applications only have access to the necessary evidence. While the multi issuer model strengthens decentralization, it also makes it impossible for a single authority to manage the system. Even if encrypted data is compromised, it is meaningless without the key. idOS is making solid progress toward its vision of creating a universal identity layer that eliminates all KYC processes required for stablecoin and on chain transactions.
