Pakistan’s 🇵🇰crypto card market has quietly gotten crowded. Kast, Oobit, Fasset, and RedotPay all offer some version of “spend your crypto anywhere Visa or Mastercard is accepted,” and OKX has now added its own card to the mix.
For Pakistani nationals holding dollars to protect savings from rupee depreciation, the differences between these products come down to three numbers that rarely get spelled out clearly: what it costs to get the card, what it costs to use it, and what – if anything – you earn while the money just sits there.

For most of Western Union's 175 years, receiving a remittance meant walking into a physical location and walking out with cash.
Now a remittance can land as a stablecoin on a phone and be spent anywhere Visa is accepted. Recipients can save in dollar-backed stablecoins in the app and still convert to cash as needed.
Remittances used to run on prefunding: capital locked in correspondent accounts around the world, parked days in advance, waiting on banking hours.
Western Union's USDPT stablecoin settles on @solana 24/7, so capital can follow demand instead of a forecast, and less of it sits idle.
Built on Rain's full suite of wallets, cards, and money movement.
The production era of enterprise stablecoin adoption is here.
Western Union is linking remittances with on-chain settlement through a Solana-based stablecoin issued by Anchorage. Its card arrangement with Rain and Visa adds a familiar payment interface, but distribution and repeat usage will determine whether the product reaches meaningful scale.
Mastercard's planned BVNK acquisition, valued at up to $1.8B, shows that competition is moving from experimentation toward infrastructure ownership. Adoption evidence remains more important than the number of announced partnerships.
Just my read, not advice.
