#AIMonetizationBroadens Nvidia reported fiscal second-quarter revenue of $96.2 billion, up 106% from a year earlier and above Wall Street expectations. Data-center revenue reached $89 billion, rising 117%, while adjusted earnings of $2.22 per share also exceeded forecasts. Management now expects approximately 70% revenue growth in the fiscal year ending January 2028, citing accelerating demand from AI laboratories, cloud companies and physical-AI applications. The results suggest AI monetization is expanding beyond one customer or model provider. Nvidia remains the clearest hardware beneficiary, but Synopsys also reported results above its guidance range as AI increases demand for chip-design tools. Cybersecurity, enterprise software and networking companies may capture the next layer of spending as businesses move from model experimentation to production. The key risk is circular investment, where AI companies receive funding that is later spent on more infrastructure. Sustainable monetization ultimately requires customers to generate real productivity and revenue from that computing capacity.
