About BTCBreaks72K
BTC broke $72,000 on Aug 20 as its 24-hour gain hit 11.8%, ending months of low volatility and accelerating beyond its trading range. CoinMarketCap showed about $2.99B in crypto liquidations over 24 hours, with a short squeeze amplifying gains. Holding $72,000 depends on spot volume, ETF flows and stablecoin liquidity. If fresh capital persists, the move could shift from leverage-driven to a broader uptrend; if spot demand lags, profit-taking and renewed leverage could magnify volatility.

Title: $BTC just ripped past 72k. This squeeze is no joke.
Guys, $BTC wentfrom 64k to 72k in like 36 hours. That's almost 8,000 dollars straight up. I honestly didn't see it coming this fast.
Why the pump? Three things hit at once:
1. US Treasury announced they're doubling buyback sizes on long-term bonds starting Sept 9. Yields dropped, USD weakened, and liquidity expectations flipped overnight.
2. SEC proposed a safe harbor framework for crypto projects, plus Trump hosted a crypto summit at the White House pushing for CLARITY Act progress. Regulatory tailwinds are finally showing up.
3. And the real kicker – shorts got absolutely rekt. BTC was stuck at 64k for so long that leverage piled up heavily on the short side. Once price broke through key liquidation levels, it turned into a massive short squeeze. Over $1.3 billion in liquidations, with shorts accounting for 90%+. That forced buying fed the fire even more.
That said, a few red flags:
· Coinbase premium is still negative – US spot demand isn't really here yet. This is leverage-driven, not organic spot buying.
· RSI on 1H and 4H is above 85 – heavily overbought. Sharp rallies like this usually need a pullback to digest.
· Glassnode data still shows "capitulation phase" signals. Until realized P/L breaks above 2, any rally could just be local relief.
My plan now:
I'm not chasing this pump. Waiting for a clean retest – if BTC holds 68k-69k on pullback and volume dries up, I might consider a small long. If it consolidates above 72k with strength, I'll look for entries later. Stop-loss is a must – if 68k breaks, I'm out.
What about you guys? Did you catch this move or get caught on the wrong side? 👇

$BTC vs $ETH Who Has More Fuel?
$BTC is leading the market with stronger momentum, reclaiming the $72K area and pushing toward the recent high.
ETH is still playing catch-up.
The interesting part is what happens if BTC starts consolidating after the breakout. That’s when capital can rotate toward $ETH and higher-beta assets.
BTC leads the move. ETH could amplify the next one.
For now, I’m watching the BTC/ETH relative strength closely.

$BTC Just Exploded Above $72K. Now Comes The Real Test.
$BTC is trading around $71,976 after a massive 11.77% move.
Price broke out from the $62.5K area and pushed all the way to $72,071.
That is a serious momentum expansion.
But after a move this large, I’m more interested in what happens next than chasing the candle.
The structure is still clearly bullish.
$BTC is trading well above MA7 at $68,830, MA14 at $66,659 and MA28 at $65,087.
All three averages remain bullishly aligned.
Volume is also supporting the move.
Current volume is around 2.32K, slightly above MA5 and above MA10, showing that participation has expanded with the breakout.
MACD is even stronger.
DIF is at 1,713 while DEA sits around 1,020, with the histogram at 693.
Momentum is clearly on the bulls’ side.
The first level I’m watching is $72,071.
A clean break above that high could open the door for another leg higher.
But after an 11%+ move, a pullback would not automatically mean the trend is over.
The first major support is MA7 around $68,830.
Below that, MA14 around $66,659 becomes the next important level.
As long as $BTC continues holding the higher structure, bulls remain in control.
And this is where $ETH becomes important.
If Ethereum starts catching up, liquidity could begin rotating into:
$SOL $BNB $XRP $SUI $APT $AVAX $NEAR $SEI $TIA
DeFi could also benefit from the stronger market structure:
$AAVE $UNI $CRV $PENDLE $MKR $LINK $LDO
For now, I’m not chasing the vertical move.
I’m watching whether $BTC can consolidate above the breakout zone and turn resistance into support.
That would make this move much more convincing.
The breakout is already here.
Now the market has to prove it can hold it.
Does $BTC break $72K and continue higher, or do we get a healthy pullback toward $69K first?

BTC Breaks $69K 🚀
BTC surged from around $60K toward $69K, triggering a major short squeeze. 📈
The move is being supported by: • Improving U.S. liquidity conditions 💵
• Renewed crypto policy optimism 🏛️
• Returning ETF demand and crowded shorts 📊
The key now is whether $69K–$70K becomes support. If BTC holds this zone, the rally could develop into a much larger move. 🚀

BTC Above $72K: Who’s Fueling the Rally?
$BTC has broken above $72K while $ETH approaches $2.3K, signaling strong momentum across the market. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded more than $517M in net inflows in the latest session, their strongest level in months, while Ethereum ETFs attracted around $189M. Treasury buybacks are supporting liquidity, while over $1.4B in short positions were liquidated, adding fuel to the rally. The key question: can institutional demand keep momentum alive?
