Both sets of products remain net positive year-to-date, so this is not a structural reversal of the institutional thesis. It is, however, a noticeable change in short-term posture.
Outflows have slowed from the previous week’s larger print, which is worth noting, but the direction has not yet flipped.
For those of us who have watched multiple cycles, this kind of pause is neither unusual nor automatically fatal.
