Seeing the core PCE for September rise to 3.1% is indeed a bit surprising. 🙄️
It's a bit higher than last month. Everyone originally thought inflation would gradually ease and that the good days of rate cuts were not far off, but this has directly proven otherwise. 🤪
The market focus has shifted from whether there will be a rate cut to whether there will be a rate hike in December.
$BTC has been fluctuating around 80,000 today. After the data release, it briefly surged to around 81,500.
