Zcash is testing NU7, cutting the target block interval from 75 to 25 seconds, with official deployment targeted for November 2026. The upgrade disables version 4 transactions and directs part of transaction fees into future block rewards. ZEC remaining in Sprout will become unspendable after NU7 activates fully unless the funds are moved before full activation.
