Microsoft and Meta both reported, both are pouring tens of billions into AI, and the market split them right down the middle. Microsoft delivered. Azure grew 43%, beating its own 39-40% guidance, and just crossed $100B in annual revenue for the first time. The monetization proof kept coming: Microsoft 365 Copilot passed 30 million paid seats. Even with 2026 capex committed near $190B, the stock climbed. Meta got punished. Revenue actually beat at $60.8B, up 28%, but EPS came in at $6.18 against the $7.14 expected, a 14% miss, and full-year capex guidance climbed again to $135-145B.
