📊 ETH ETF Outflows Continue, but Crypto Prices Are Climbing — What’s Really Happening?
Something unusual is happening in the crypto market: $ETH spot ETFs have reportedly recorded eight consecutive days of net outflows, yet prices have managed to recover from their recent lows.
That raises an important question: If institutional ETF money is leaving, what is pushing prices higher?
The answer may lie in market liquidity, futures positioning, and selling pressure rather than strong spot demand.
During the first week of October, combined outflows from $BTC and $ETH spot ETFs reportedly exceeded $1.2 billion. Bitcoin also experienced a reported $484.9 million single-day outflow on October 7, highlighting the pressure facing institutional investment products.
However, ETF outflows do not automatically mean the entire market is experiencing net selling. Capital can move through exchanges, derivatives, stablecoins, and other trading venues, while short sellers covering positions can also contribute to a price rebound.
🔎 What the Price Action Is Telling Us
Bitcoin's recovery from around $80,000 toward $82,500 may reflect a temporary reduction in selling pressure. When liquidity is thin, even relatively modest buy orders can move prices higher.
But a rebound is not the same as a confirmed trend reversal. Without stronger spot demand and sustained buying volume, the market could struggle to maintain its recovery.
📍 Levels I’m Watching
• $83,000–$84,500: A potential supply zone where sellers could return.
• $82,000: An important near-term area to watch for price stability.
• $80,000: A critical downside reference. A decisive break could expose the market to further selling pressure.
These are areas to monitor, not guaranteed support or resistance levels.
