#OracleAdobeEarnings Oracle and Adobe are scheduled to report earnings after the US market closes on September 10. For Oracle, investors will focus on whether Oracle Cloud Infrastructure growth and its enormous $638 billion remaining-performance-obligation backlog can convert into revenue quickly enough to justify rising data-center expenditure. Adobe faces a different test: whether Firefly, GenStudio, and other generative-AI products are producing genuinely incremental subscriptions without weakening Creative Cloud pricing.
Both companies illustrate the market’s changing standards for AI investments. Announcing AI features is no longer enough—investors increasingly want evidence of revenue, margins, and free cash flow. Oracle may deliver stronger cloud growth but still disappoint if capital expenditure rises faster than cash generation. Adobe could benefit from integrating AI directly into professional workflows, though competition from lower-cost creative tools remains intense. Guidance will probably matter more than the reported quarter. Investors should listen for measurable AI revenue, customer retention, infrastructure costs, and management’s confidence about the rest of the fiscal year.
