The ETF Market Is Getting Bigger Than Bitcoin For years, the institutional crypto story was simple: Buy Bitcoin through an ETF. That story is changing. U.S. spot crypto ETFs now track a much wider set of assets, with about $72.4B in combined AUM across 13 assets. On September 4 alone, the complex recorded roughly $205.8M in net inflows. $BTC still dominates, with $174.6M of that day's inflows. But look underneath. $ETH attracted $25.9M. $HYPE pulled $10.5M. Even as $SOL saw a $5.2M outflow, its ETF category has accumulated roughly $1.3B in total inflows. $XRP products are also around the $1.5B AUM mark. That changes the institutional access story. Wall Street no longer needs to choose between “crypto” and “no crypto.” It can increasingly choose which crypto exposure it wants. My radar: $BTC — Still the liquidity anchor. $ETH — The largest non-Bitcoin institutional crypto exposure. $SOL — Watching whether ETF demand stabilizes after recent outflows. $XRP — A strong test of whether institutional demand can persist beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum. $HYPE — Interesting because its ETF is already attracting meaningful flows despite being a much newer institutional product. $LINK $SUI $AVAX — Potential beneficiaries if regulated access keeps expanding. $AAVE $UNI $PENDLE — DeFi assets become more interesting if investors start demanding exposure beyond L1s. $ONDO — RWA exposure fits naturally into the institutionalization trend. $TAO $RENDER $FET — Higher-beta narratives could eventually benefit from broader regulated access. The important distinction is this: ETF growth does not automatically mean network adoption. ETF AUM measures demand for regulated investment exposure, not users, transactions or protocol revenue. But it does prove something that crypto lacked several years ago: There is now a growing institutional distribution channel for assets beyond Bitcoin. And the competition is just beginning. #BTCGoldCorr+0.50 #HammackBacksHike #ZECRanks10thByMarketCap
