Crypto sitting flat while equities rip is telling. MSFT adding nearly $450 billion in a single session and KOSPI posting its largest ever single-day gain points to a genuine soft-landing repricing, not just a technical squeeze. BTC at $63K during that kind of risk-on move is not neutral behavior: it suggests positioning is already clean, or that the equity bid simply has not rotated yet.
The complication is oil, up 20% in a month on the Iran escalation cycle. Negative PCE and 1.5% GDP together look dovish on the surface, but persistent energy inflation is the variable that breaks the soft-landing story before the Fed can respond. Watch how crude holds into the next inflation print: if it stays elevated, September cut odds get repriced quickly, and that is when the correlation between equities and crypto reasserts itself with force.
