How do I set up web withdrawal protection?
Web withdrawal protection is a proactive security feature. Once enabled, crypto withdrawals and P2P sell transactions initiated on the web will be blocked immediately. Related transactions will also be blocked if you’re using an older app version or if the system can’t verify that the request comes from a supported app version.
Web withdrawal protection helps reduce the risk of asset loss if someone gains unauthorized access to your account on the web. Once enabled, use the latest version of the OKX app to withdraw crypto or complete P2P sell transactions.
Who can use web withdrawal protection?
You can enable web withdrawal protection on both the web and the OKX app.
Once enabled, use the latest version of the OKX app to withdraw crypto or complete P2P sell transactions. Requests made from older app versions may not pass the security check and will be blocked.
Note: update the OKX app to the latest version to get full protection and manage this feature properly.

How do I withdraw crypto after enabling web withdrawal protection?
Use the latest version of the OKX app to initiate the withdrawal.
If the system verifies that the request comes from a supported app version, web withdrawal protection won’t block the withdrawal. Other withdrawal protection and security rules will still apply.
If you’re using an older app version, update the app to the latest version before trying again.
How do I disable web withdrawal protection?
You can only disable web withdrawal protection from the latest version of the OKX app.
Open the latest version of the OKX app.
Go to Profile → Account Settings → Security Settings → Withdrawal Protection
Find Web withdrawal protection and turn it off.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete one two-factor authentication (2FA) check and facial verification.
Web withdrawal protection will be disabled after you complete the required verification.
Why can’t I disable web withdrawal protection on the web?
For your account security, you can’t disable web withdrawal protection on the web.
If someone gains unauthorized access to your account on the web, this restriction prevents them from disabling the protection before initiating a withdrawal.
What happens when web withdrawal protection and other withdrawal protection features are enabled at the same time?
If you initiate a withdrawal on the web, web withdrawal protection will take priority and block it immediately.
If the withdrawal also triggers large withdrawal protection, the system will block it under the web withdrawal protection rules without requiring facial verification.
If the withdrawal is initiated during an Offline Mode protection period, it will still be blocked immediately.
If you initiate the withdrawal from the latest supported app version, web withdrawal protection won’t apply. However, large withdrawal protection, Offline Mode, and other security rules will continue to apply.
Note: when multiple protection rules apply, the system won’t ask you to complete duplicate verification checks. The stricter protection rule will take priority.
What notifications will I receive for web withdrawal protection?
You’ll receive a push notification and an email when:
Web withdrawal protection is enabled
Web withdrawal protection is disabled
Note: if you receive a notification that you didn’t initiate, reset your password or freeze your account immediately.
