I have to say, SBF has a really good eye for investments.
Just saw the news that the AI editor Cursor completed a $900 million financing round. The FTX liquidation team once sold shares now worth $500 million for just $200,000. It feels like these liquidation lawyers are making more money than imperial confiscators... FTX's investments in the AI field also include the large model company Anthropic, which is now valued at $61.5 billion. FTX once held an 8% stake, but it was sold off cheaply by the liquidation team early on. Additionally, FTX invested $100 million in SUI at an average price of $0.114 (obtaining 890 million SUI for $102 million), which was also sold at cost to other VCs by the liquidation team early on.
