OKX officially launches the multi-chain wrapped token xBTC
OKX is officially launching xBTC, a 1:1 Bitcoin-pegged wrapped asset on 22 May 2025, increasing the multi-chain liquidity of Bitcoin assets and creating more Web3 opportunities. With xBTC launching, deposit and withdrawal of BTC via Solana, Sui, and Aptos blockchains are available, bridging Bitcoin across chains for users to seamlessly participate in the multi-chain Web3 ecosystems, unlocking more possibilities for utilizing Bitcoin assets.
xBTC: the secure and efficient multi-chain Bitcoin solution
xBTC is a wrapped token issued by OKX that strictly follows a 1:1 reserve mechanism. It can be utilized flexibly within the Web3 ecosystem, with the same security and reliability as native Bitcoin assets. Highlights of xBTC:
High security and transparency: As a wrapped token, xBTC maintains 1:1 reserves with BTC, fully custodized by OKX, with asset transparency verified in real-time via on-chain Proof of Reserves (PoR).
Unlocking Liquidity in Web3: Integrated with Web3 protocols, xBTC supports on-chain activities like lending and liquidity mining, unlocking new Web3 opportunities and maximizing capital efficiency.

How to deposit xBTC from an external address into OKX?
Log in to your OKX account, then go to the Deposit page.
Select BTC as the token and choose a supported source network (Solana, Sui or Aptos).
Copy the deposit address to deposit xBTC from your external wallet.
Upon confirmation, xBTC is automatically converted to BTC on a 1:1 basis, and the BTC credited to your account.
How to withdraw xBTC?
Log in to your OKX account, then go to the Withdrawal page.
Select BTC as the token and choose a supported target network (Solana, Sui or Aptos).
Enter the recipient address and confirm the final withdrawal amount and fees (if applicable).
After submitting the withdrawal request, BTC is automatically converted to xBTC on a 1:1 basis, and the xBTC sent to the designated address.
