MCP & the Future of Solana it's 2027. multiple co-leaders include new Tx every few ms. @solana combines them to 1 block, sorted by fees* what do you notice? 👀 1/8
in MCP-Solana ❌ bundles ❌ block-builders ❌ BAM don’t work. bundles don’t execute in-order same for builders & BAM can't even drop reverting Tx (unknown 🤷‍♂️) that's OK - MPC lets DeFi evolve beyond "which Tx was first" (listen to @MaxResnick1 yap👇) 2/
MPC is NOT a 5 yrs roadmap - @solana devs 🐐🐐🐐 3/
so why speedrun ETH's failed experiments?👇 why not do what MCP does? 1) sort Tx & bundles by reward/CU 2) keep bundle support we *know* - DEX can compete with CEX (prop AMMs) - they need reliable ordering let's give them what they need! /5
to summarize: - jito copied Flashbot, kept themselves as sole blockbuilder - temporal copied what Flashbot is doing now - jito working on BAM, copying Flashbots buildernet all while FB system on ETH is pretty bad, uses my trusted relays, and devs try to figure how to fix it
are the "temporary" solutions helping us? block builders: lose @solana's real-time continuous block-building BAM: take away validators' decision over including Tx BOTH hurt the argument "solana is decentralized, fair, and nobody runs DeFi's matching engine" /6
so who's actually deciding this? apps & validators - validators (and their stakers) will decide what to run - apps who send Tx *exclusively* to these solutions help them show higher rewards (mostly artificially) /7
hot take: BAM and Harmonic needing stake makes ACE harder to accomplish and leads to the implementation not actually being beneficial for chain applications until there is only 1 winner why not just have in the validator client? i get ppl run forks, but it seems easiest way to get stake consensus
but @SolanaFndn plays a giant role too SF showed that if it wants to - it can use its huge stake (~2%) to get validators to adopt a long-term tech, even if it costs them $ short-term a bit unfair to ask the hardly-breakeven validators to act benevolently.. /8
