After the birth of smart contracts, everyone explored a lot in the direction of IP, but none were very satisfactory. Generally, the IP itself is made into an NFT, and then fragmented to represent individual control over the IP.
In recent years, a Story Protocol emerged that made this model into a "protocol". After a long hype, it ended up creating a ghost chain that no one used.
Recently, a popular term called "Field Driven Engineering" or FDE has emerged, which is a mystical term packaged by Europe and the US, but in reality, it has been a model used in Asia for a long time, which means going to the field, listening to demands, and creating something.
See details:
The direction explored by predecessors was very Euro-American, first creating a SaaS for people to use. Unfortunately, there aren't many people in web3, so no one would use it, turning it into a 'ghost chain/ghost protocol' (although it doesn't affect the price increase of the coin).
Freya's attempt is great; it first creates something and then continues to adjust based on the actual situation.
Going back to the beginning, past attempts at IP were all based on NFTs, and there was a rather troublesome rights confirmation process. Although it is very web3, it is quite cumbersome to implement. Freya's current attempt is to turn IP into tokens, which will gain good liquidity. Turning IP revenue into dividends and directly distributing them to token holders abstracts the entire model for holders as "just take it."
Compared to NFTs, the understanding cost of coins is lower and more web3, because BTC is a coin, USDT is a coin. Users may not know what NFTs are, but they definitely know BTC, or at least know what stocks are (tokens are more similar to stocks).
Another interesting point is that @Freya_Starfall did not stubbornly try to acquire IP resources. Freya's parent company, R Corp, has rich resources in the anime field and has even been featured in Jump magazine, making it easier to discuss IP (referencing the earlier mentioned field-driven engineering), which is a capability that most projects do not possess.
Now looking at Freya, it is very similar to the virtuals protocol, both starting from creating something and then evolving into a protocol.
In web3, everyone is keen on things that can be traded because they are profitable. Therefore, Virtuals became so popular after launching their platform, and from this perspective, we can foresee Freya's future.
So, good luck to all $Freya holders, I believe our future is definitely going to the moon!
