Simple knowledge from digging into HyperEVM data & Hyperliquid explorer:
- Hyperliquid handles staking on HyperCore (makes sense since staking existed before HyperEVM was built)
- Liquid staking protocols on HyperEVM follow this flow: User → HyperEVM Staking Manager Contract → Bridge → HyperCore → Staking Process (using Kinetiq as an example)
- The bridge contract between HyperEVM & HyperCore is 0x2222222222222222222222222222222222222222. It's not a burn & mint structure - both chains hold HYPE balances. Still trying to wrap my head around how the data storage works here - ("CoreWriter" part)🤔
(Side note: docs suggest 0x2222~ was previously used as HYPE's system address on HyperCore)
- HyperEVM implements EIP-1559 fees and runs Ethereum Cancun upgrade without blobs
I sometimes get asked what on-chain data analysts primarily do. I usually research this kind of contract-level and VM-level knowledge. I believe this is the core competency of a general on-chain data analyst.
