Evening Research on Succinct and ended up building on @Dune Dashboard (Perfect Timing on the announcement!)
1/ What is Succinct Prover Network?
- A two-sided marketplace for ZK proofs that connects requesters and provers
- Requesters, or applications seeking zero-knowledge proofs, submit proof requests to the network
- Provers are participants who generate proofs in response to requests by bidding (Need to stake PROVE to be eligible for bidding) in auctions called proof contests.
2/ How much does a Proof Cost?
- All proof requests in the Succinct Prover Network are subject to a fixed-cost PROVE base fee (0.2 PROVE) in addition to the auction-determined PROVE per PGU price.
- On Average, a proof cost about $1.45
3/ What is the adoption so far?
- So far, there are 94k proofs requested and 67k proofs fulfilled
- Within 22 days, it has generated $130k fees
4/ What are the potential use cases?
- Light clients that verify the state of other chains, enabling trustless interoperability across blockchains. (Potential Usecase: Ethereum)
- ZK proving for rollups, enabling fast finality, improved security, and better interop. (Usecase: Arbitrum Orbit Chains)
- Other usecases include: Oracles, IDs, Privacy etc.
