ZPOT wins the "IP Champion 2025" award showcasing Soft Power "Moo Deng" on the world stage. Today, August 15, 2025, Mr. Narongwit Chodchoi, Director of Khao Kheow Open Zoo, along with Mr. Atthapol Nundee, a maintenance and management staff member of the zoo, attended the award ceremony for the "IP Champion 2025" for the hot character "Moo Deng" at the Intellectual Property Fair 2025 held at Samyan Mitrtown Hall, 5th floor, Samyan Mitrtown Shopping Center. The award ceremony was officially held, with Mr. Jutaporn Buruspat, Minister of Commerce, presiding over the award presentation to the Zoological Organization of Thailand. On this occasion, Mrs. Jongkolnee Kaewsod, Deputy Director of the Zoological Organization, acting as the Director of the Zoological Organization, accepted the award along with the executive team. "Moo Deng" was inspired by the adorable and unique behavior of the pygmy hippopotamus, developed into an ART TOY and a commercial character, with copyrights and trademarks properly registered. Currently, it has partnered with over 100 well-known brands, covering products, services, and digital media, and is expected to generate over 200 million baht in revenue within this year. This award reinforces the success of Khao Kheow Open Zoo in creatively utilizing intellectual property to enhance the value of tourism and wildlife conservation, while elevating the image of the Zoological Organization of Thailand to the international stage.
