Flare is quite an interesting product, a full-stack L1 blockchain One of their core products, FAssets acts as a bridge between non-smart-contract assets and the world of DeFi. Just like they did with XRP, they created an FXRP version to integrate it into DeFi. And now XRPFi is essentially DeFi built around XRP. Let’s break FAssets down: Tokenized versions of assets that don’t support smart contracts. Currently, all of this is running on Flare’s testnet, Songbird. But the mainnet launch is expected. According to them, this model is also planned to scale beyond XRP. They plan to launch FBTC, FDOGE, and other FAssets. As well as introduce liquid staking for these products via the @Firelightfi protocol. Sounds intriguing, it's worth understanding what’s currently backing this ecosystem.
