How do I buy and sell crypto with my AUD balance?

On the app

1. Log into your account on our OKX app, select Buy and sell

   

   Open buy crypto page

2. Select Buy or Sell according to your preference and your preferred crypto

   

   Select your preferred crypto to buy or sell

3. Insert the AUD amount or the crypto amount you want to buy or sell

4. Select AUD balance in the Payment method, then select Preview order
   Note: make sure you've a sufficient AUD amount in your trading account. If you've an insufficient amount in your trading account, select Transfer AUD to transfer your AUD balance from funding account to trading account.

   

   Select AUD balance to buy or sell crypto

5. Preview your purchase and select Buy {crypto} or Sell {crypto} to complete your order

On the web

1. Log into your account on our OKX website, select Buy crypto > Express buy

2. Select Buy or Sell according to your preference and your preferred crypto

3. Enter the AUD amount or the crypto amount you want to buy or sell, then select Buy {crypto} or Sell {crypto}

4. Select Your balance in the Payment method to purchase crypto and select Next
   Note: make sure you've a sufficient amount in your trading account. If you've an insufficient amount in your trading account, select Transfer to transfer the AUD balance from your funding account to your trading account.

5. Preview your purchase and select Buy {crypto} or Sell {crypto} to complete your order

How do I transfer the AUD balance from my funding account to my trading account?

If you have insufficient AUD balance in your trading account, you can transfer it from your funding account to your trading account:

On the app

1. You'll be prompted to select the following action:

   • If you want to buy crypto, select Transfer AUD;

     

     Select Transfer AUD to transfer your AUD balance to your trading account

   • If you want to sell crypto, select Transfer

     

     Select Transfer to proceed with transferring your AUD balance to your trading account

2. There'll be a Margin balance reminder to remind you that we'll use your fund in the trading account to cover the margin balance if there's a margin shortfall on your order. Select Continue to transfer after you read the reminder message.

   

   Make sure you've read the margin balance reminder before proceeding to transfer AUD

3. Make sure you're selecting Funding in the From field and Trading in the To field, and the asset that you want to transfer in the Asset

   

   Make sure you're transferring from your funding account to trading account

4. Insert the amount that you want to transfer and select Confirm to complete your transfer

Note: this feature is only available after you have updated our OKX app to version 6.90.0 or later.

On the web

1. You'll be prompted to select Transfer from the following pages:

   • If you want to buy crypto, you can find it on the Payment method page

     

     Select Transfer to transfer AUD from funding account to trading account on payment method page

   • If you want to sell crypto, you can find it under the Sell option on the Express buy page

     

     Select Transfer to transfer AUD from funding account to trading account on sell page

2. There'll be a Margin balance reminder to remind you that we'll use your fund in the trading account to cover the margin balance if there's a margin shortfall on your order. Select Continue to transfer after you read the reminder message.
