Hot has utility and I am definitely using their wallet after TGE. This is because $HOT Wallet enables users to be able to change their SEED phrase when their wallet gets compromised.
Users of $HOT wallet will no longer have to go through the stress of Transferring all their funds out when their wallet is been compromised.
I have never seen any non-custodian wallet do this. It can only be @hotdao_
