With subnet de-registration and halving converging, $TAO is entering a phase of large, sweeping change that will redefine incentives, participation, and value creation. Now would be the opportune moment to bring in the much needed voting & governance environment. Pushing the network to be more conducive to building in with less drastic changes made so often. The main problem TAO halvings (which reduce global emissions) and ALPHA halvings (which control subnet emissions) run on different schedules. This timing mismatch creates asymmetries that worsen over time: - Interval compression – ALPHA halvings happen faster and faster, reducing rewards prematurely. - Liquidity imbalance – Later subnets have thinner pools and higher slippage. - Root dominance – The Root subnet’s influence decays slower, skewing fairness. - Liquidation haircuts – In subnet de-registration, ALPHA holders get less TAO back than expected. All four effects stem from the same cause -> unsynchronised halving schedules. (I would still like root sell pressure reduced further - SN64 Chutes the poster child for TAO doesn't look great from the charts with the network auto-selling against it)
