Everyone is looking for a big community, but they should be optimizing for a sticky community. We’ve seen it over and over again. The shiny new toy pulls in a wave of short-term users. They grab their airdrop (if they’re lucky), get annoyed or bored, and bounce bc there’s nothing keeping them there. That’s what happens when you’re undifferentiated. Starknet was that shiny toy once. And like almost every other project, the shine wore off and market attention moved on to the next thing. So what happens when times get tough? For us, plenty of people left. But far more stayed, people who wanted to build Starknet into what they believed it could and should be. We had something unique -- the attitude here has always been long-term, not quick pumps or attention seeking noise. We’re not back yet. There’s still a ton of work ahead. But I’d never bet against a community that stayed strong while getting clowned for being Starknet maxis. Hard times create strong communities, and we've definitely had our share.
