A question came up on why most stablecoins are still USD-denominated. Here is my thinking: ✔️ Some things in this world are priced in dollars. Naturally, they will be priced in USD-denominated stablecoins ✔️ Think of oil or crypto. Robinhood EU for some reason shows crypto prices in euro, but I still don’t understand why. This is noise for me despite being a European. ✔️ However, when I come to a grocery store, I see prices in euro. Prices in dollars would be noise. So for me, the market cap of EURC is very telling about the use cases of stablecoins in Europe. But things will change.
At @twifintech Stablecoin Salon! Exciting!
