From the basics to the advanced, let's review some well-known L1 public chains. The following evaluations are mainly based on my personal daily usage experience and subjective impressions. Avalanche @avax A leader in enterprise-level blockchain, a tech-savvy player, the subnet mechanism is impressive, but the ecosystem lacks activity, like a potential idol without fans. I would rate it as top-tier. Sei @SeiNetwork Positioned as a high-performance trading chain, but there are few usable applications, and its presence is weak. I would give it an NPC rating, mainly because of the moment Sei airdropped, with the official Twitter releasing an animation of a sailing ship arriving, and the sound of the horn still fresh in my memory. EOS @EOSIO Claiming to overthrow Ethereum, the "king of public chains" that raised $4 billion, but ended up with a neglected ecosystem and developers fleeing. I would rate it as finished. BNB Chain @BNBCHAIN Backed by the universe, with a very high user base and trading activity, another main battlefield on-chain. Many friends entered the space through GameFi and meme coins on BSC back in the day, the only downside is the overly diverse ecosystem leading to mixed quality. A flaw does not detract from the overall excellence, I would rate it as top-tier. Fantom Once a DeFi paradise, it has become lukewarm after migrating to Sonic. Many memories, but little heat. I can't rate it higher than NPC. Sui @SuiNetwork Once the king of new projects, a starting point for many studios to rake in profits (including myself), it had its moments of glory, smooth user experience, and enthusiastic developers, but it always feels like there’s nothing much to use. Points for nostalgia, I would rate it as top-tier. Bitcoin @Bitcoin The ancestor of blockchain, digital gold, no need for an ecosystem, unshakeable consensus and security. The inscriptions once made many friends wealthy, but currently, the BTC ecosystem has hit a freezing point, with TVL and activity declining, so I would temporarily rate it as top-tier. Solana @solana A haven for meme coins, creating a new generation of leaders, once again proving that blockchain is the shortcut for ordinary people to rise. A model of high performance and low cost. Always on the path of being an Ethereum killer. A child of the version, rated as basic, no need for further explanation. Aptos @Aptos A minimalist giant among airdrops, once had a stellar reputation, just filling out a form could get you an airdrop, with advanced technology, a model of performance among L1 chains, but after the EDOG incident and the continuous decline in coin price, users have started to feel disappointed. Recently, it has been focusing on stablecoins and RWA, with ongoing renovations of on-chain applications. I hope it can revive again, temporarily rated as top-tier. Tron @trondao Stable transfers, previously very cheap, now transfers require energy, increasing costs, and Sun's style has led to a lack of presence. A typical NPC (not quite finished). Ethereum @ethereum The cornerstone of DeFi and NFTs, irreplaceable in security and liquidity. Getting faster and cheaper.
